Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Handyman/woman to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities through hands-on maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting. Your energetic approach will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and technical skills while demonstrating leadership and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural issues efficiently and safely.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to accurately diagnose problems.
Conduct welding repairs when necessary to fix or reinforce structural components.
Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated systems and troubleshoot related issues.
Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during repair projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed.
Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing maintenance requests from staff or management with a positive attitude.
Lead small teams during maintenance projects or emergency repairs, demonstrating leadership skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Requirements

Proven experience in general maintenance work with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
Electrical experience with the ability to interpret schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
Skilled in welding techniques for repairing metal structures or components.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated systems is highly desirable.
Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
Supervising experience or leadership qualities that enable guiding team members during projects or emergencies.
Customer service mindset with a proactive approach to addressing facility needs promptly.
