Main duties and responsibilities

To deputize in the place of the Event Operations Manager in his/her absence.
To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the operations department regarding all service, health and safety and managerial aspects.
To ensure that Assistant Ops Manager, Supervisors, and sufficient waiters are always assigned to each event in line with guest expectations.
To carry out necessary preparation in planning for forthcoming events for all operating supplies.
To prepare departmental rotas on a weekly basis, to ensure all events are staffed and that all casual agency requirements are booked well in advance.
To supervise the Events Set-up team during set up and tear down of each event.
To ensure rooms are set up and ready, 30 minutes prior to each event and in accordance with Berkeley standards.
To supervise each event in accordance with the guest’s requirements as specified on the function sheet.
