Are you technically minded with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Internal Technical Sales Engineer to join our team.

With sites in Belton and Birmingham, we partner with world-leading manufacturers and support customers across a wide range of industries.

With more than £3 million of stock available for next day delivery and an experienced engineering team delivering complete hydraulic and electrical control systems, we have built a reputation for technical excellence, reliability, and outstanding customer support.

The opportunity

You'll play a key role in supporting customers and our external sales team, combining your technical expertise with a customer focused approach to deliver effective hydraulic solutions. No two days are the same, as you'll be involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from individual component requirements to larger solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical sales support to customers and the external sales team.
Prepare quotations and identify suitable hydraulic solutions based on customer requirements.
Support customers with product selection and technical advice.
Manage enquiries from initial contact through to order completion.
Work on a diverse range of projects, from small component sales to large scale hydraulic system applications.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Provide after sales support and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and operations teams to deliver the best possible outcomes.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

You'll ideally have:

A solid understanding of hydraulic components and hydraulic systems.
Experience working within the hydraulics industry.
A qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HND, HNC, or equivalent preferred).
The ability to interpret technical information and provide practical solutions.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A positive, friendly, and professional approach.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Confidence, enthusiasm, and a desire to continually develop your skills.
