Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled 360 operator/groundworker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate heavy machinery, primarily the 360-degree excavator, to assist with excavation, site preparation, and groundworks. Your mechanical knowledge and ability to handle various groundworking tasks will be essential in ensuring efficient project progress. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while developing your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate the 360-degree excavator safely and efficiently to perform digging, lifting, and material handling tasks
Assist with site clearance, trenching, and groundwork activities according to project specifications
Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
Support groundworks by assisting with the installation of foundations, drainage systems, and other structural elements
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a safe work environment
Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
Assist with general site duties as required, including loading/unloading materials and maintaining a clean work area

Experience

Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery on construction sites
Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Valid commercial driving license (CDL) or equivalent for operating site vehicles and transporting equipment
Prior experience working as a groundworker or in similar ground preparation roles is preferred
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
