Job Introduction

Senior Events Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

Lead and conduct high-quality site show rounds, building strong client relationships and supporting conversion of business opportunities.
Support and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practice to enhance the overall guest experience.
Take responsibility for the smooth running of the Events office in the absence of the Event Manager, ensuring priorities are managed effectively and business continuity is maintained.
Effectively manage events for the hotel, collating all relevant information and assist clients in all event planning stages.
Support departmental projects and initiatives designed to improve guest satisfaction, revenue performance, and colleague engagement.
Proactively identify opportunities to up-sell and maximise event revenue whilst enhancing the guest experience.

Person Specification

Previous experience in event management within a luxury hotel or venue environment.
Strong knowledge of hotel operations and event planning processes.
Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.
Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
Experience leading meetings and presenting information clearly and professionally.
Ability to take ownership and make decisions in the absence of management.
Strong commercial awareness with a focus on conversion, upselling, and revenue generation.
Competent user of event management systems (HART preferred).
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to coach and support the development of colleagues.
