Full job description

Role Purpose: The Brand Manager owns the day-to-day performance, product management and delivery of an Exclusive Brand, ensuring it is easy to sell, operationally robust and commercially effective. The role combines product ownership, switching execution and sales enablement, supporting growth across Operating Companies.

Makes the brand easy to understand and sell through clear ranges and specifications
Provides practical tools and guidance for day-to-day sales activity
Ensures consistent product quality and specification control
Supports smooth switching and rollout across customers

This Brand Manager role will focus on the professional cleaning and hygiene category, including chemical cleaning, laundry, dishwash, wet wipe and dilution control systems. Success in this position will require a good understanding of cleaning and hygiene products, their application within professional cleaning environments, and the key market trends shaping the sector. Experience and knowledge of product innovation, sustainability initiatives, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies within the cleaning chemicals industry would be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand ownership

Own product portfolio, structure and lifecycle management
Ensure clear range architecture and product positioning
Work with Purchasing and suppliers on product development and changes
Maintain specifications, quality and consistency

2. Switching & growth delivery

Support and deliver OpCo switching programmes
Provide product comparisons, tools and transition guidance
Coordinate customer mobilisation and rollout
Identify opportunities and align portfolio direction with growth and margin objectives

3. Sales enablement

Build product guides, training and comparison tools
Support tenders and sales opportunities
Enable confident product selection and positioning

4. Supplier & product coordination

Work with Purchasing and suppliers on product changes and switching opportunities, new product development, future sustainability and innovation and manage product readiness, documentation and data.

5. Portfolio development

Identify range gaps and improvement opportunities
Contribute to innovation and new product ideas
Support category expansion initiatives

6. Marketing & asset delivery

Lead or support execution of Marketing campaigns (incl. templates for local implementation), lead new product launches, Brand assets and guidelines and maintain SharePoint communication tool
Ensure consistency with brand guidelines

7. Compliance & governance support

Support product compliance and recall activity
Ensure claims, messaging and positioning are accurate and controlled
Ensure product data and documentation are accurate across all Op-Cos

8. Brand Promotion & External Representation

Act as a brand ambassador, confidently representing the brand at Bunzl conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, customer events and industry forums
Support planning and delivery of events, demonstrations and customer engagement activities
Identify and pursue opportunities to raise brand profile and credibility, including industry awards and recognition, trade publications and media features and case studies and best practice examples
Work with local marketing teams to ensure consistent, high-quality external representation aligned to brand positioning

Brand is easy to sell, clear and well structured
Product range is well managed and complete
Switching delivered efficiently and confidently
Sales teams have strong tools and support

Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
