Our Marketing Team plays a vital role in supporting commercial success for Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Royal Navy Museums: Naval Aviation, Royal Navy Museums: Hartlepool and Royal Navy Museums: HMS Caroline. Working within an integrated team of campaign, content, CRM, digital and performance specialists, we develop campaigns that inspire visitors, support income generation and bring our extraordinary stories to life. We combine creativity with commercial focus, using audience insight, performance data and collaboration to deliver marketing that drives results.
What you can bring:
As Campaign Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end planning, delivery and optimisation of marketing campaigns across Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the wider Royal Navy Museums group. You'll be responsible for translating commercial objectives into effective multi-channel campaigns that deliver against visitor, income and return-on-investment targets. You will lead campaign development from briefing and planning through to execution and evaluation, ensuring all channels work together effectively, and every campaign is optimised for performance. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and agencies while acting as the single point of accountability for your campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketer who enjoys balancing commercial thinking, data-led decision making and creatively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns aligned to commercial and audience objectives.
- Create campaign plans, briefs, messaging and channel strategies.
- Manage campaign delivery across OOH, broadcast, digital, CRM, web, content and all paid media channels.
- Monitor campaign performance and continuously optimise activity to maximise results and return on investment.
- Manage campaign budgets and performance targets.
- Use insight, analytics and audience data to inform decisions and improve campaign effectiveness.
- Manage external agencies and suppliers.
- Line manage and support the development of the Campaign Coordinator.
About you:
You'll be a commercially minded marketing professional with a proven track record of delivering integrated campaigns that achieve measurable results.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns with clear performance accountability.
- A strong understanding of campaign strategy, audience targeting and performance marketing.
- Experience managing budgets and achieving revenue or demand-generation targets.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn insight into action.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing agencies and external suppliers.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
