Finance Assistant

As Finance Assistant, you will support the Finance team in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of the hotel’s financial operations. You will play a key role in ensuring financial records, reporting and transactions are processed with precision, contributing to a well‑organised and compliant finance function within a luxury hospitality environment. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven and analytical individual who takes pride in accuracy, organisation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Check figures, postings and documents to ensure accuracy and correct coding
Maintain and organise financial records, files and documentation in line with company policies
Input, update and analyse financial data within accounting systems and spreadsheets
Prepare and maintain financial reports, including accounting, auditing and statistical data
Support period‑end closing procedures and ensure deadlines are met
Prepare, review and reconcile invoices, billing statements and account records
Assist with tracking and monitoring financial transactions and variances
Ensure all financial information is recorded accurately and securely
Support auditing and reporting processes where required
Respond to internal and external finance‑related queries professionally and in a timely manner
Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information at all times
Work collaboratively with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Follow all company policies, procedures and compliance standards

Previous experience in a finance, accounting or administrative role, ideally within hospitality
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive and methodical approach to problem solving
High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
