Established in 2000, in the heart of Cornwall, LaserMaster Ltd has continued to grow from strength to strength. In the Summer of 2022, we acquired an Engineering company which was winding down - due to retirement. This has meant that our machining department and its capabilities has significantly grown- and now boasts a wide selection of new CNC machinery (with Siemens and Proto TRAK programming systems).
We are therefore looking for experienced Machine Operators and setters to join our team.
Machine Operator/Setter Job Responsibilities:
· Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
· Reviews drawings, instructions, or samples to ensure accurate production.
· Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
· Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
· Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
· Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
· Maintains inventory of completed products.
· Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
· Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
· Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Other expected attributes required-
· To be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Experience and formal qualifications are a requirement for this role.
· Ability to get yourself to work – and on time.
· At times there maybe a need to work on or over the weekend (on occasion) to complete an order

Hours are a week are - Monday to Friday 8 am till 5pm at around £14 an hour (pay dependant on qualifications and experience- will be discussed through interview). There may be, on occasion, overtime due to completing a customer’s requirements.
