Head Chef: A Unique Opportunity to Shape the Future

Following the recent takeover of The 3 Salmons hotel, we're looking for an exceptional Head Chef to lead our kitchen and establish us as one of the region's leading dining destinations.

This is far more than a Head Chef position. It's an opportunity to build a reputation, create a food destination that people travel for, and put your own stamp on an exciting new chapter.

We're looking for someone with passion, creativity and ambition—someone who thrives on producing exceptional food while inspiring and developing a motivated kitchen team.

About the Role

You'll have the freedom to develop menus that celebrate seasonality, quality local ingredients and modern cooking, creating an experience that keeps guests coming back.

Our food offering includes:

A seasonal brunch menu served throughout our opening days.
A creative small plates menu designed for sharing and social dining.
Weekend à la carte specials showcasing the very best seasonal produce.
A renowned Sunday lunch that becomes a destination in its own right.
Street food served in our gardens during the season, creating a vibrant outdoor dining experience.

Our operating pattern allows for creativity and consistency, with the hotel closed every Monday and Tuesday. Evening service operates on Friday and Saturday, with a strong focus on delivering outstanding Sunday lunches alongside our daytime food offering.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading, motivating and developing the kitchen team.
Designing seasonal menus that evolve throughout the year.
Driving quality, consistency and presentation across every service.
Creating exciting weekend specials and innovative small plate dishes.
Managing stock, and kitchen budgets effectively.
Building strong relationships with local suppliers.
Maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Working closely with the management team to help establish the hotel as one of the area's premier food destinations.

Is an experienced Head Chef or an ambitious Sous Chef ready for the next step.
Has a genuine passion for seasonal cooking and fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Brings creativity, energy and attention to detail to every service.
Leads by example and enjoys developing people.
Takes pride in consistency and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Understands the commercial side of running a successful kitchen.
Wants to build something special and leave a lasting legacy.
