We are recruiting a Network Freight Supervisor to join our team at our Tipton, National Hub supporting the smooth running of our daily network freight operation.
THE ROLE
- Network Freight Supervisor
- Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 08:00 to 18:00
- Contracted hours: 45 hours per week
- Pay: £13.69 per hour
- Weekly pay: £616.05
- Annual salary: Approximately £32,034
- Paid weekly every Thursday
- Permanent, full-time position
You will review and monitor network freight levels while supporting the management team with the planning and coordination of daily logistics operations.
You will communicate scheduled loads, routes and delivery times to drivers, monitor deliveries through to completion and liaise with customers to maintain an excellent customer experience while promoting the Clarke Transport brand.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and monitor network freight levels to support the smooth running of daily operations
- Contact drivers to brief them on their scheduled loads, routes and delivery times
- Conduct driver debriefs following the completion of deliveries
- Use and maintain computerised systems to maximise operational efficiency and customer service
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with customer and Company requirements
- Work collaboratively with drivers to identify and address actual or potential operational issues
- Take appropriate action to avoid or minimise delays and other operational risks
- Liaise with customers and provide timely updates regarding issues such as delayed deliveries
- Maintain strict compliance with transport regulations and Company policies and procedures
- Follow all applicable health and safety, quality and operational systems
- Monitor operations and report areas of concern promptly to the management team
- Provide appropriate general support to the management team
- Complete any other reasonable duties requested by the management team
