Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our professional cleaning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various premises, ensuring a welcoming and sanitary environment for clients and visitors. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the cleaning and janitorial sector. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for those who take pride in their work and pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, corridors, restrooms, and communal spaces, using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
Ensure all surfaces are sanitised, floors are swept and mopped, and waste is disposed of correctly
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the premises
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap dispensers as needed
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, including carpet cleaning or window washing

Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus
Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to established procedures
Good time management skills to complete assigned tasks within designated shifts
