Experienced Purchase Ledger / Office Administrator – Full time

Mint Northwest Ltd is a family run business based in Wigan which specialises in adaptation projects for local authorities across the North West Region.

We are looking for a highly organised Experienced Purchase Ledger / Office Administrator to work with our experienced team, in a busy office environment. This is a varied role that combines general office administration with responsibility for the purchase ledger, making it ideal for someone with excellent administrative and financial skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

The applicant must be competent, have very good IT skills, ie. Word, excel etc, an excellent telephone manner and be capable of working under pressure and unsupervised at times.

Duties and Responsibilities:please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. The office administrator may be required to perform additional tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the office.

Manage the Purchase Ledger on Xero software, including issuing/completing Purchase Order numbers issued, processing supplier invoices and credit notes.

Match purchase invoices with delivery notes and resolve any discrepancies.

Handle incoming calls with the ability to screen and transfer calls.

Proficient in computer skills to include, Microsoft office.

Strong Organisational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize tasks

Excellent attention to details and accuracy with typing skills i.e preparation of tenders using a specialist programme, updating records, submission of tenders.

Maintenance of diary systems including organising appointments for the estimators.

Scanning, filing, photocopying duties

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Any other ad-hoc tasks and projects as instructed by senior management, and other duties commensurate to this position

Liaising with managers and other members of the company

Qualification and skills

Previous experience with purchase ledger and in an office administration role.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent typing skills with strong attention to detail

Previous experience in a busy administrative of office support role

Good knowledge and use of IT – word processing, Excel and databases

Excellent time management/organisational skills

A committed and highly motivated team player

Flexible and pro-active

37.5 hours per week – Monday – Friday – 8.00am – 4.00pm

Wage:- Meets National Minimum Wage

Pay: £24,862.50-£27,300.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Wigan WN1 3DP: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

PURCHASE LEDGER/OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR: 7 years (required)
