Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organised Weekend Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations during weekend hours. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, answering queries, and supporting administrative tasks. Previous office or administrative experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.

DAYS - FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY

Duties

Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling for weekend patients
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Handle patient records with confidentiality and accuracy
Process payments and insurance claims efficiently
Maintain a clean and organised reception area
Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols during patient interactions

Requirements

Previous office or administrative experience is desirable but not essential; a keen willingness to learn is important
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, friendly demeanour, and professional appearance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team during weekend shifts
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office)
Flexibility to work weekends consistently; reliability is key
Knowledge of dental terminology or experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
