Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and be proficient in conducting thorough MOT inspections. This role is essential in ensuring that vehicles meet safety and environmental standards, providing peace of mind to our customers.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on various vehicle types, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Utilise both power tools and hand tools effectively to perform inspections and repairs as needed.
Identify any mechanical issues or faults during the testing process and communicate findings clearly to customers.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any necessary follow-up work.
Ensure that the testing environment is clean, organised, and safe for both staff and customers.
Assist with heavy lifting of equipment or vehicles when required, demonstrating physical capability in a workshop setting.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or maintenance.
Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle testing are advantageous but not mandatory.
