Full job description

SGH Civils & Surfacing are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 1 Low Loader Driver to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of a wide range of large construction and surfacing plant between our sites, depots and customers.

The role will involve transporting plant including:

5-ton Kubota excavators through to 22-ton excavators
Dumpers
Paving machines
Rollers and other road surfacing equipment
Various items of construction and civil engineering plant

Key Responsibilities

Safely loading, securing, transporting and unloading heavy plant
Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer checks
Ensuring all loads are correctly secured and transported in accordance with legal requirements
Delivering and collecting plant from construction and surfacing sites
Completing relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
Maintaining a professional attitude when dealing with customers, site teams and colleagues
Keeping the vehicle and equipment clean and in good working order
Working safely and following company procedures at all times
