About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused General Handyman to join our growing team. This varied role involves carrying out maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and development work across residential and commercial properties throughout Sunderland and the wider North East.

In addition to general handyman duties, you will assist with property refurbishments, renovations, and development projects, helping to prepare properties for sale, rental, or occupation. No two days are the same, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a diverse workload and takes pride in high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

General property maintenance and repairs
Assisting with property refurbishments and renovation projects
Working on residential and commercial developments
Basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and decorating
Flooring, tiling, patch plastering, and finishing works
Furniture assembly and installation
Door, lock, and window repairs
Minor electrical work (where qualified and permitted)
Site preparation, snagging, and final finishing tasks
Garden maintenance and exterior property improvements
Identifying and reporting additional maintenance requirements
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Requirements

Essential:

Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman services, refurbishment, or construction work
Good practical skills across multiple trades
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management and reliability
Professional and customer-focused attitude
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

Experience working on refurbishment, renovation, or development projects
Trade qualifications (Carpentry, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.)
CSCS Card
