Full job description

Location: Fareham (Hybrid working, 3 days per week in the office)

Salary: £35,889 - £39,667 (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for a people focused operational leader. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer within the Operations team. It is a hands-on position primarily focused on ensuring the smooth and efficient running of business Operations & HR strategy. The role will suit a proactive, organised and solutions-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership for operational delivery, whilst also fully supporting employee engagement, lifecycle, compliance and culture in a very People focused business.

This role will be a key part of the culture of the business and a valuable member of the team to support others around them whilst enhancing the operational efficiency.

The top 5 activities for this role are:

Support and own the end-to-end employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development and offboarding
Provide HR advisory support to line managers and colleagues, ensuring effective people management, upholding our values and up to date compliance with employment law in partnership with Peninsula HR Consultancy
Lead and coordinate core business operations including facilities, suppliers, systems, insurances and Health & Safety compliance
Maintain, optimise and continuously improve systems and processes to support business performance and scalability
Manage facilities, suppliers and operational service delivery to ensure high standards and SLA adherence

Some additional responsibilitie include:

Record, analyse and improve HR & Operations data and reporting, strengthening accuracy and insight for decision-making
Support employee engagement, wellbeing and development initiatives aligned to business strategy, continually focusing on Employee wellbeing strategies, survey data and roll out of enhanced initiatives
Identify, recommend and support implementation of technology and AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency (LEAN), automate manual tasks and enhance reporting insight, providing robust research, business case applications and testing plans to ensure adoption is smooth, roadmaps are clear and followed and feedback is acted upon for continuous improvement
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of associate contractors, ensuring compliance and smooth integration
Plan and coordinate company learning and social events, ensuring effective communication, seamless delivery and a positive employee experience

Experience

Operational coordination across systems, suppliers and facilities
Oversight of workplace operations and compliance (H&S, suppliers, office)
Systems administration across business platforms (e.g. O365, Co-pilot, HR software platforms, Training software etc)
Employee lifecycle and HR administration

Qualifications and skills

High attention to detail and ability to work accurately at pace
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Ability to identify problems and implement practical solutions
A people person with empathy and good listening skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Clear and professional written and verbal communication
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
CIPD Level 3 in Human Resources (essential)
Business or Administration qualification (desirable)
