Full job description

THE ROLE

This isn’t a “manage the grid” job. We’re looking for a creative storyteller - someone who understands that the most powerful thing we can do is shift how people think about blow-dries through the quality and craft of our content, and who’s equally happy rolling up their sleeves on the marketing engine behind it.

Think of the role as roughly a 60 / 40 split: 60% social and content, 40% supporting the wider marketing function - brand admin, event coordination, helping with PR send-outs and being a second pair of hands across whatever our small, ambitious team needs. You’ll run our social channels and content day-to-day, support the Head of Brand with our creator and ambassador community, and be the creative boots on the ground across campaigns, events and new openings. As we grow, you’ll help make sure the Duck & Dry story travels, feeling personal and relevant wherever we are. You’ll also work directly with our Founder & CEO to help grow her personal platform - a distinct but complementary voice built around female entrepreneurship, empowerment and thought leadership. It’s a rare amount of access for someone at this stage of their career, and a real opportunity to learn from the inside of a brand that’s genuinely growing.

You’ll report into the Head of Brand, with a dotted line to our Fractional Marketing Lead.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Content & Social

· Own our social presence across Instagram and TikTok, bringing the Duck & Dry world to life daily through content that is beautifully produced, trend-aware and genuinely worth following.

· Spend time across our salons and brand moments to understand what makes us tick - and bring that world to life through polished, on-trend editing that makes every piece of content feel genuinely worth watching.

· Build a content bank that works. Every salon visit and brand moment should yield stories across multiple formats and platforms.

· Be genuinely across what’s working on Instagram and TikTok right now - formats, audio, transitions, the micro-trends that matter in beauty and lifestyle

· Build and own a community that genuinely connects - not just follower counts, but people who feel part of something. Your approach to engagement, replies, DMs and community moments should be as warm and considered as the experience inside our salons.

· Track what’s working and feed that intelligence back into the content strategy - you care about what drives bookings, not just what drives likes.

· Use AI thoughtfully to work smarter - from ideation and caption writing to editing, repurposing and reporting - while keeping the warmth and craft of the Duck & Dry voice unmistakably human.

Creator & Ambassador Programme

· Support the Fractional Marketing Lead across the creator and ambassador strategy, helping to identify the right talent, build genuine relationships and bring a programme to life that they’re proud to be part of. Briefing, booking and reviewing with care and commercial intent.

· Help develop our ambassador tier: people who represent Duck & Dry on an ongoing basis, not as a transaction but as a genuine part of the brand’s world.

· Bring our existing client community into the story through features, takeovers and campaigns that make them feel like they belong to something.

Marketing, Campaigns & Brand

· Support the Head of Brand in bringing campaigns and events to life on the ground.

· Look after the day-to-day brand admin - keeping the marketing calendar, asset library and supplier list tidy and up to date, so the wider team can move quickly.

· Help co-ordinate our events - from new salon openings and brand partnerships to press and creator moments - getting stuck into logistics, suppliers and on-the-day support so they feel as considered as the work itself.

· Support our PR activity - helping with press and creator send-outs, gifting moments and sample management, making sure every parcel that leaves us feels unmistakably Duck & Dry.

· Be the eyes and ears at salon events, openings and brand partnerships on the ground, capturing content and making sure nothing goes untold.

· As we open new locations across the UK, help ensure each one launches with a content presence that feels local and alive within the wider Duck & Dry story.

· Feed what you’re seeing and hearing back into the wider marketing conversation - you’ll be closest to the community, and that perspective is valuable.

Founder & CEO profile

· Work closely with our Founder & CEO to develop and maintain her personal Instagram channel which is a platform built around female entrepreneurship, family and the realities of building a brand.

· Plan and produce a regular cadence of content from behind-the-scenes of the business to commentary on the wider beauty, wellness and entrepreneurship landscape.

· Ensure the founder's personal brand and the Duck & Dry brand feel complementary to one another.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

· Brings great energy and is ready to get properly stuck in - someone who understands what it means to be part of a founder-led business on a real journey, and is genuinely excited to help shape what it becomes from here.

· A storyteller first. Someone who leads with narrative instinct and understands the difference between building an audience and building a community.

· Around 3-5 years into your career in social, content or marketing - ideally with some exposure to both sides. Beauty, wellness, lifestyle or hospitality a bonus.

· A confident editor and post-producer: CapCut and Canva fluent. You know how to take raw footage and make it look and feel exceptional, and you’re always across what’s performing on Instagram and TikTok. Comfortable across scheduling and reporting tools too.

· Experience supporting events and brand partnerships - you know what it takes to make a moment feel considered, and you're comfortable getting stuck into the detail that makes it happen.

· A genuine feel for beauty and wellbeing, with existing relationships in the London beauty and lifestyle creator scene - or the taste and appetite to build them quickly.

· Commercially curious - you’re interested in how content connects to real bookings and business growth, and developing your instinct for what the numbers are telling you.

· Comfortable and curious with AI - you already use tools like ChatGPT and Claude and AI-assisted editing features to speed up ideation, copywriting, research and post-production, and you’re keen to keep learning as the tools evolve. Just as importantly, you know when AI helps and when only human taste and judgement will do.

· Happy to be across our salons and brand moments regularly, comfortable collaborating with stylists, clients and external creatives to pull together the content and footage you need.

· Organised and dependable - comfortable owning the admin, logistics and behind-the-scenes detail that keeps marketing actually moving.

Nice to Have

· Paid social understanding across Meta Ads and TikTok Ads.

· Hands-on experience with generative AI tools for content creation - image, video or audio - or AI-powered analytics and scheduling.

· Experience working with or briefing photographers and videographers.
