Full job description

SG Technologies - part of the Neo Performance Materials Group, is a global leader in the production of high-performance magnetic components and assemblies. Our products are shipped worldwide to high end automotive and consumer products customers such as Bosch, Caterpillar, and YASA.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our finance team on a permanent basis. You will have meticulous attention to detail and be keen to make improvements to the processes within the role, whilst adhering to internal controls.

This role offers the opportunity to broaden skills, make a real impact on the business by improving processes and efficiencies to lead to more focus on value adding activity.

While the role reports into the Finance Director, you will work closely with and alongside the other members of our finance team. You will need to maintain good relationships with colleagues in other departments, and have a great telephone manner when dealing with our suppliers.

The range of activities and tasks you will be assisting with will include:

Input of purchase invoices on to two systems (123 Insight & Access Dimensions
Review and correction of anomalies on the system, such as outstanding GRNI and discrepancies between our ledger and supplier statements
Preparation of supplier payments, in line with payment terms
System & Process Improvements
Bank Reconciliations
Liaising with audit teams
Other activities as/when required

You must:

Have at least 12 months experience in purchase ledger accounting
Show strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Have at least good excel skills, keen to improve with some on the job training
Have the ability to pick up new systems quickly
Be keen to take ownership and responsibility for your work
Be able to work in fast-paced environment, keeping to deadlines while maintaining accuracy in your work.
Have the drive and energy to want to learn the full picture of how SG Technologies works

Work Pattern:

Full time 37.5 hour week – Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm, Friday 8.30am – 2.30pm;

After successfully passing probation you will be eligible to use our flexitime system working around a core hour system with the potential to work a 9 day fortnight.
