Job Summary - Term Time Only
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our Nursery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills within a supportive environment that values professional growth. The practitioner will work closely with colleagues to create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes early childhood development in accordance with regulatory standards. This post is TERM TIME ONLY

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being within the nursery environment.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
Lead and support junior staff members, providing guidance and mentorship to promote team cohesion.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
Ensure the nursery complies with all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and hygiene standards.
Organise daily routines such as meal times, play sessions, and rest periods in line with organisational policies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of nursery practices through reflective practice and professional development.
Assist with administrative tasks related to child records and nursery documentation as required.

Qualifications

Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent recognised early childhood education certification.
Proven experience working within a nursery or childcare setting, demonstrating management and leadership capabilities.
Strong understanding of child development principles and early years curriculum frameworks.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, fostering a safe and stimulating environment.
Experience in managing or supervising staff is desirable.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. If you are appointed you will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
