Junior Project Manager – Renewable Energy (Clearvolt)

Location: Alderley Edge / Cheshire
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 + performance bonus
Contract: Full-time, permanent

About Us

Clearvolt develops and delivers behind-the-meter renewable energy projects (solar, wind and battery storage) for leading sports clubs, industrial estates and commercial clients. Our partners include world-class organisations across the UK and internationally. We work with funders to bring large-scale, zero-capex renewable infrastructure to life.

We are now looking for a Junior Project Manager to help us meet strict funder requirements and support project delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy industry, working directly on high-profile projects.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting the project team in ensuring all documentation, surveys and approvals are completed, tracked and submitted to funders. You will work across technical, legal and commercial areas, coordinating consultants and chasing stakeholders to keep projects moving.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update project documentation in line with funding requirements
Track outstanding deliverables (grid offers, planning consents, surveys, structural reports, RAMS, financial models)
Liaise with consultants, EPCs, DNOs, lawyers and landlords to secure required documents
Manage document control systems (drawing registers, surveys, reports, consent letters)
Support preparation of funding submissions and milestone reports
Collect and review data (half-hourly consumption, credit checks, insurance consents)
Assist with design deliverables coordination (SLDs, array layouts, monitoring system schematics)
Provide administrative and project management support to the senior team

About You

This is a junior role; we are not expecting you to produce technical designs yourself. Instead, you will need the organisation, persistence and attention to detail to coordinate others and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

Essential

Live within a 30-minute commute of Alderley Park, SK10 4TG
Degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, renewable energy, or business/project management
Strong document-control and organisational skills
Proficiency in Excel and MS Office; familiarity with project tools (Smartsheet, Trello, Asana or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently, chase stakeholders and meet deadlines

Desirable

Project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM or equivalent)
Professional or technical qualifications such as IET (electrical) or RICS (property/land)
Some exposure to renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure or construction
Understanding of DNO connections, planning consents, or PPAs/leases
Experience with financial models or technical reporting

Package

£28,000 – £32,000 base salary depending on experience
Performance bonus linked to project milestones and funding close, taking on-target earnings to £35,000 – £45,000
Progression opportunity as the company grows
