Full job description

Finance & Payroll Assistant

Are you organised, accurate and confident working with numbers?

We’re looking for a proactive Finance & Payroll Assistant to join our friendly team at our state-of-the-art head office. As a successful family-run business, we offer the professionalism and ambition of a growing company while retaining a supportive, down-to-earth culture where people genuinely matter.

This is a varied role combining payroll, finance and HR administration. You’ll play an important part in keeping our payroll accurate, our accounts running smoothly and our employee records up to date.

What you’ll be doing

Processing accurate and timely payroll using Sage Payroll
Maintaining payroll records and responding to payroll queries
Processing supplier invoices and managing accounts payable
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Entering and maintaining financial information in Xero
Supporting month-end processes and preparing reports
Reviewing employee expenses and processing reimbursements
Maintaining accurate employee, attendance and benefits records
Preparing onboarding documentation for new employees
Supporting general HR administration and compliance tracking
Working closely with the wider finance and management teams

What we’re looking for

Previous payroll, accounts or finance administration experience
Experience using Sage Payroll or a similar payroll system
Familiarity with Xero or comparable accounting software
Strong numerical, administrative and data-entry skills
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
A well-organised approach with the ability to meet deadlines
Confidence handling sensitive and confidential information
A positive, helpful attitude and willingness to support the wider team
Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience in accounts payable, HR administration or month-end reporting would be an advantage, but full support will be provided to the right person.
