Carer / Personal Assistant

Location: Based in Hartlepool (independent bungalow)

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour (Days) | Night Rate: £13.54 per hour (night shifts)

Last minute bank cover: £15.16/£17.33 per hour for last minute cover (rate depends on notice given)

Hours: Full-time, Part-time or bank work available (Includes alternate weekends off or two weekends per month)

Mixed rotation (mainly days with occasional nights) or Permanent nights available depending on preference

About the Role
Are you a naturally caring person looking to make a real difference in someone's life? We are seeking a friendly, bubbly, and dedicated Personal Assistant / Carer to join a supportive care team (working 2:1 ratio) for a gentleman living with a brain injury.

You will be working within the comfort of his own private bungalow. While he has his own independent space, it is located within a family environment, so maintaining a respectful, positive, and professional attitude at all times is essential.

No previous care experience is needed. If you have a caring nature, we will provide you with all the training and shadow shifts you need to feel confident and succeed.

Shift Patterns:

We have two patterns available depending on the applicants preference (please state your preference when applying):

Permanent Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Mixed Rotations: A combination of days and nights (mainly dayshifts with the occasional night)

Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (dependent on the day's schedule).
Night Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities:
Your goal is to help the client live a fulfilling, safe, and happy life and duties include:

- Personal Care & Wellbeing: Assisting with daily personal care routines with dignity and respect.
- Mobility Support: Utilising hoists and mobility equipment (full training provided).
- Medication: Safely administering and managing daily medications.
- Outings & Appointments: Planning fun days out and driving him to appointments using the client’s own wheelchair-accessible van.
- Home Upkeep: Keeping the bungalow clean, tidy, and comfortable.
