Support Worker, Rockliffe Court, Hartlepool – Complex Care

Full-Time & Part-Time Hours Available - £14.72 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen within SJOG Hospitaller Services for experienced Support Workers to join our specialist complex care service in Hartlepool.

You will work as part of a dedicated team in a 1:1 staffing capacity, providing high‑quality, person‑centred support to a young gentleman with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. The role requires a compassionate, flexible approach and includes sleepover shifts as part of a rota.

The transition plan is for the gentleman to move from when he currently lives in Hartlepool to his new home. Transition will involve a short period of staff working alongside other providers currently supporting him.

Essential Criteria:

QCF Level 3 in Adult Health & Social Care
Experience of working with people with autism.
Experience of supporting people with a Positive Behaviour Support approach.
Ability to respond to guidance and direction.
Experience of developing support plans.
Experience of the key worker role.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Able to provide personal care.
Able to work flexible hours including weekends, nights etc according to the needs of the people in service.
Able to drive with a full UK driving licence
Participate where necessary in social activities, outings/holidays with people using the service.
Maintain confidentiality, honesty and reliability.
Accessible, approachable and comfortable with vulnerable people.
Non-discriminatory and respect for cultural and religious heritage of all people.
