Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Manufacturing to lead our manufacturing operations. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, management expertise, and proven leadership capabilities to foster a productive and innovative manufacturing environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the company's growth and operational excellence.

Duties

Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with organisational goals to optimise productivity and efficiency.
Lead, motivate, and manage the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Oversee daily operations across multiple production lines, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for enhancement.
Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and other departments to streamline processes and resolve production issues promptly.
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels effectively to meet production targets.
Drive innovation by implementing new technologies and methodologies that improve manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation whilst promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
Prepare reports for senior management on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting, demonstrating effective team management.
Strong management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams towards common objectives.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with a track record of inspiring staff and driving organisational change.
Experience in developing operational strategies that optimise productivity while maintaining high standards of quality.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing environments.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
