Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring a smooth operation within the practice, enhancing patient experiences, and assisting in the delivery of high-quality optical products.

Shifts available 2pm - 8pm Wednesday & Thursday, various shifts at the weekends and holiday cover.

Due to the nature of the role and location, please only apply if you are over 18 years of age.

Understand this is for Optical Assistants, not D.O's.

Duties

Assist in the fitting and dispensing of eyewear
Maintain an organised inventory of optical supplies and equipment.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding products and services.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the optical area, including displays of eyewear.
Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow within the practice.
Stay updated on new optical products and technologies to provide informed recommendations to patients.

Skills

Previous optics experience is advantageous, providing familiarity with optical equipment and processes.
Strong communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
Attention to detail for accurate measurements and fittings of eyewear.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of service.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and improving service delivery within the practice. If you are passionate about eye care and eager to contribute to a supportive team environment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as an Optical Assistant.
