About the role

The Bartlett School of Architecture is seeking to appoint a full-time Research Fellow on a fixed-term basis. The postholder will be responsible for delivering and evaluating participant-facing research studies, managing on-site testing, collecting and analysing research data, and contributing to high-quality research outputs and reports. The successful candidate will have experience conducting research involving human participants, strong analytical and organisational skills, and proficiency in data analysis software such as MATLAB, SPSS or R. They will be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider research team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based research in line with approved protocols. • This is a fixed-term role until 7th December 2026 in the first instance • Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis. We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible • This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site. • This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Research and Professional Services Staff. About you

The successful candidate will have experience conducting research involving human participants and be confident delivering participant-facing studies in line with approved research protocols. They will possess strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with experience of analysing research data using software such as MATLAB, SPSS, R or similar, and be able to produce clear, high-quality research reports. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of engaging professionally with participants and colleagues from diverse backgrounds, while working independently and managing competing priorities. They will demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, Open Science principles, and the UCL Ways of Working.
