Benefact Group, are looking for an Internal Auditor to join our Gloucester office.
The successful applicant will join the Group Internal Audit Team, reporting directly to The Group Chief Internal Auditor. The GIA function is responsible for providing independent assurance to various committees, boards and senior management on the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group’s internal control framework. You will therefore be expected to do this through conducting risk based internal audits in all areas of the Group, including Shared Services, Insurance, Broking & Advisory and Investment Management divisions.

Lead and deliver internal audit activity across the group’s internal control framework
Deliver robust, accurate and timely advice and consultancy services in relation to the development of new or enhanced controls across the Group’s internal control framework (whether alone or as a team).
Deliver high quality, impactful written reports and verbal presentations to UK and overseas Boards, Board Sub-Committees GMB and senior management in relation to the control environment.
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the Group on all matters related to governance, risk and internal controls.
Assist in providing management and staff with appropriate technical guidance, training and support to maintain and improve the level of control awareness throughout the Group.
Qualified Internal Auditor (IIA) or equivalent, qualified accountant, or part qualified accountant or internal auditor with experience in Internal Audit or a relevant discipline
Financial services experience
Experience in a similar role
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
Self-motivated with a proactive approach
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with colleagues
