Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Supported Housing Officer to play a vital role in empowering individuals to live independently within their community. In this dynamic position, you will provide essential support and guidance to tenants, ensuring they access the resources and services needed to thrive. Your proactive approach will foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where residents feel valued and supported every step of the way. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, advocating for their needs and rights.
Conduct regular property visits to monitor tenant well-being, safety, and housing conditions.
Assist tenants in navigating local services, including healthcare, employment, and social support programs.
Negotiate lease agreements, service plans, and resolve disputes with tact and professionalism.
Utilize Yardi property management software to update tenant records, track rent payments, and manage housing data efficiently.
Coordinate with external agencies to ensure tenants receive appropriate support tailored to their individual circumstances.
Promote tenant engagement through organized activities and community-building initiatives that foster independence and inclusion.

Qualifications

Proven experience in housing management, social work, or related fields with a focus on supported housing or community services.
Strong negotiation skills to effectively resolve conflicts and facilitate agreements between tenants and service providers.
Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management systems for accurate record keeping and reporting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of relevant housing legislation, safeguarding protocols, and tenancy regulations is highly desirable.
