Full job description

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Film & Television Teacher to lead our students in exploring the art of storytelling through film and television. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire future filmmakers, guide practical projects, and develop students’ technical and creative skills in a vibrant learning environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons on film and television production techniques, including scripting, filming, editing, and post-production processes
Foster a creative classroom environment that encourages experimentation, collaboration, and critical thinking
Guide students through hands-on projects such as short films, documentaries, or TV segments from concept to completion
Assess student work regularly, providing constructive feedback to support growth and skill development
Maintain a safe and organized studio or classroom space equipped with relevant filming technology and tools
Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into curriculum to keep lessons innovative and relevant
Support students in preparing portfolios or showreels for college applications or career opportunities

Skills

Strong knowledge of film and television production processes, including scripting, directing, cinematography, editing, and sound design
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds
Experience working with digital editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
Ability to develop creative lesson plans that balance technical instruction with artistic exploration
Passion for mentoring young talent and fostering a love for storytelling through visual media
Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion of student assignments

Pay: From £60.00 per day
