Job Overview

Downwell Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Demolition Operative (Topman) to join our growing demolition team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable demolition professional with a strong understanding of demolition techniques, safety standards and site operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting demolition projects, working safely and efficiently as part of a professional site team. We are looking for a good all-round demolition operative who can demonstrate experience, professionalism and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, safety-conscious and capable of supporting a wide range of demolition activities on site.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out demolition works safely and efficiently in accordance with project requirements.
Work closely with site supervisors, machine operators and demolition teams.
Undertake soft strip, structural alteration and general demolition activities.
Maintain a strong commitment to site health, safety and environmental standards.
Support the safe operation of machinery and equipment where authorised and qualified.
Assist with site set-up, material segregation and clearance activities.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest professional standards.

Requirements

CCDO Advanced Demolition Operative (Blue Card) or above.
A minimum of 5 years’ demolition experience.
Strong practical knowledge of demolition methods and procedures.
A proactive approach to health and safety.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent reliability and work ethic.

Desirable

Machine Driver Ticket.
Experience working alongside demolition plant and machinery.
Experience on a variety of demolition and enabling works projects.
