Job Overview:

We are excited to offer a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager to join our team. In this crucial role, you'll receive comprehensive support, guidance, and the autonomy needed to lead your team and manage the store effectively. Our goal is to be the leading Independent Retailer in the country, and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards to ensure every customer experiences our 'Retail is Detail' philosophy.

As part of TYS, an independent business with a streamlined structure, you'll report directly to the Store Manager and play a key role in driving the success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Motivate, inspire, and lead your team by example, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
Store Management: Take charge of daily operations, maintaining exceptional store standards, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Commercial Insight: Understand how your store contributes to the broader business objectives, utilizing data to make informed commercial decisions that drive sales and profitability.
Performance Enhancement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve store performance, with a focus on detail, cleanliness, and overall store presentation.

What We’re Looking For:

Retail Management Experience: Proven experience in retail management is essential. Experience in other relevant industries will also be considered.
Leadership Skills: A track record of leading and developing successful teams, with a focus on empowerment and motivation.
Analytical Ability: Strong numerical skills, proficiency in data analysis, and Excel expertise are critical for making informed business decisions.
Work Ethic: A hard-working and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to Detail: A commitment to maintaining high standards, particularly in store cleanliness and presentation.
Adaptability: Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and embrace new challenges with enthusiasm.

Working Conditions:

As a Duty Manager, you’ll work a variety of shifts to fully understand store operations and effectively lead your team. Our business operates on weekends and bank holidays, so you will be expected to contribute to the management team rota, ensuring continuous leadership coverage.
