Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of animals in our care while providing excellent customer service to pet owners. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to management
Assist with the check-in and check-out process for pets, ensuring accurate records are kept.

Qualifications

Previous experience in animal care or a related field or Level 3 Animal Care qualification is required
Dog grooming experience would be an advantage
Physical capability to perform active tasks throughout the day.
A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Applicants must have a full driving licence and own transport

Hours

Hours are flexible depending on workload but with an earliest start of 7am and the latest finish of 6pm working 5 days out of 7 during busy periods
