MIG & TIG Welder

CNC Recruitment is currently recruiting for experienced MIG & TIG Welders to join our clients in the Ilminster area.

We are looking for skilled welders with a strong background in fabrication and the ability to produce high-quality welds to specification.

Location - Ilminster and surrounding areas

Pay Rate - Up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

The Role

As a MIG & TIG Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out welding and fabrication work across a range of materials and components, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within required timescales.

Key Responsibilities

MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and welding specifications.
Welding a variety of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium where required.
Setting up and safely operating welding equipment.
Carrying out fabrication, fitting and assembly work.
Ensuring welds meet required quality and specification standards.
Inspecting finished work and carrying out any necessary adjustments or corrections.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.
Following all company health & safety procedures.
Working independently and as part of a wider production/fabrication team.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Proven experience as a MIG & TIG Welder.
Previous experience within a fabrication, engineering or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
A reliable and hardworking attitude.
Good understanding of health & safety within a workshop environment.
Relevant welding qualifications or coded welding experience would be advantageous but are not essential for all positions.
