Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily kitchen operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising food preparation, managing team members, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining high-quality service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence to contribute to a vibrant team.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and motivate staff to achieve operational goals.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen.
Assist in training new team members on food safety, preparation techniques, and service procedures.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Support the development of new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Uphold a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and professional growth.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting.
Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, or hospitality management.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and restaurant operations.
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service excellence is desirable.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess strong leadership qualities. The Kitchen Team Leader will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout the kitchen operation.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
