:Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Female Psychological Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team. The role involves providing support and assistance to individuals in need of psychological care and promoting their overall mental health and wellbeing.

Duties
Prime objective of the post.

· The Psychological wellbeing Coordinators role is to provide psychologically informed support to individuals from the South Asian community who are experiencing mental ill health, or at risk of developing mental illness.

· The role involves engaging with service users, helping them achieve their goals outlined in their support plans, and facilitating ongoing support as part of their recovery.

· Support integrated working, focusing on early intervention, recovery support and prevention work with a range of partners to develop shared responses.

Experience

Evidence of a minimum of 1 year’s paid/unpaid experience in:

Outreach and community development work
Providing 1:1 mental health support to vulnerable individuals from the South Asian community.
Facilitateng support groups to improve the mental health & wellbeing of individuals.
Writing case notes, reports and recording data for evaluating and monitoring purposes

· Planning and delivering group work

· Using databases to record information

Knowledge and understanding:

· An understanding of the issues faced by the local South Asian community impacted by mental illness

· Good knowledge on the symptoms of mental illness

· Awareness of appropriate psychological and therapeutic approaches available

· Working knowledge of mental health support services

· Familiar with relevant policies and procedures

· An awareness of safeguarding protocols

· Good understanding of acute, primary, secondary and social care health services

· Knowledge of the local area and the needs of the local population.

· Knowledge and awareness of contributing factors of mental ill health

· Knowledge of the mental health recovery model and self-care pathways

Language and Communication skills:

Good written and spoken English.
Good listening skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, recording data using a database
fluent in spoken Urdu/Punjabi or Bangla

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £17,000.00-£17,004.00 per year
