Air Source Heat Pump Installer
Work Work Ltd is an established MCS-certified renewable-energy company with over 15 years of trading experience, delivering air source heat pump and energy-efficiency projects across England.
Due to continued demand and an increasing number of MCS and Boiler Upgrade Scheme installations, we are looking for an experienced and fully qualified Air Source Heat Pump Installer to join our growing team.
Candidates may be based anywhere in England but must be willing to travel to installation projects nationwide. Travel and accommodation will be provided where required.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installing domestic air-to-water air source heat pump systems.
- Installing hot-water cylinders, buffer vessels, pumps, valves, expansion vessels and associated pipework.
- Installing and upgrading radiators and other heat emitters in accordance with the approved system design.
- Carrying out system flushing, filling, pressure testing, dosing and hydraulic balancing.
- Installing heating controls, thermostats, sensors and weather-compensation controls.
- Setting system flow rates and commissioning heat pump systems in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
- Working from approved heat-loss calculations, system designs and emitter schedules.
- Completing installation checklists, commissioning records, handover documents and site photographs.
- Ensuring all work complies with MCS requirements, Building Regulations, Water Regulations, manufacturer instructions and health-and-safety procedures.
- Explaining the operation of the heat pump and heating controls clearly to customers.
- Representing Work Work Ltd professionally at customers’ properties.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have:
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Plumbing and Heating qualification, or equivalent.
- A recognised Level 3 Air Source Heat Pump installation qualification.
- A current G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification.
- A current Water Regulations qualification.
- Proven experience installing domestic air source heat pump systems.
- Experience installing cylinders, radiators, pumps, valves, controls and heating-system pipework.
- Experience completing MCS-compliant installations.
- Knowledge of low-temperature heating systems, hydraulic balancing and system commissioning.
- The ability to complete ASHP installations independently and to a high standard.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to travel throughout England and stay away when required.
Applicants must be able to provide copies of all relevant qualification certificates before appointment.
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience with Boiler Upgrade Scheme projects.
- Experience working from room-by-room heat-loss calculations and radiator schedules.
- Experience with manufacturer commissioning and technical portals.
- Experience completing MCS commissioning and handover documentation.
- Manufacturer training for recognised air source heat pump brands.
- F-Gas qualification for work involving split systems or refrigerant circuits.
- CSCS card, Asbestos Awareness and Working-at-Height training.

Pay: £25,420.00-£60,541.35 per year
