Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English & Math Tutor to inspire students aged 5-16 and foster a love for learning. In this role, you will provide engaging, personalized instruction to learners of various ages and skill levels, helping them achieve their academic goals. Your enthusiasm and expertise will empower students to build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and excel in their studies. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys while honing your teaching skills.

Duties

Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in English and Math, tailored to each student’s needs and learning style
Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual learning objectives
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
Create a positive, motivating learning environment that encourages active participation and curiosity
Support students with homework, test preparation, and skill-building exercises to reinforce understanding
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about student progress and areas for improvement
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student achievements, and lesson plans

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English and Math at various educational levels
Strong communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate students
Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special education needs
Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
Knowledge of curriculum standards and effective instructional techniques in both subjects
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons and track student progress effectively

Pay: £13.00-£20.00 per hour
