Position: Admissions Co-ordinator

Hours: 36.25 per week

Salary: £26,564 (Grade 7)

Location: East Riding/York

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: 2nd August 2026

This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced team as an Admissions Coordinator; the successful applicant will be responsible for the recruitment of new learners and admissions process for our East Riding campus in Beverley and Minster provision in York.

The role involves liaising with parents, carers and professionals, such as those within the local authority and schools, hosting visits at East Riding and York campuses, co-ordinating taster days as well as attending external marketing/careers events and developing new and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that systems are up to date and accurate in order to monitor the progress of the recruitment process and is within compliance of statutory guidelines.

What will the role of Admissions Co-ordinator involve?

To be responsible for pursuing expressions of interest as identified by the Assistant Principal – Transition, Employability, Destinations: parents, learners, social services, local authority, careers advisors and any others, by making follow-up communications.
Provide high quality written reports on prospective learners and present them to the Admissions Panel.
To be responsible for the application process including arranging visits for, and hosting, potential learners, co-ordinating and hosting pre-entry assessments and transition in visits.
Produce internal pen pictures, reports and fee rationale for the Local Authority, projected learner figures and any other relevant reports and data records as requested by the Senior College Management Team.
Taking a key role in the organisation and execution of Open Days/Evenings.
Liaising with parents, careers advisors and other professionals to ensure the timely completion and collation of high-quality application information.

What you will need in order to be considered for this Admissions Co-ordinator opportunity.

NVQ level 3 in Information, Advice and Guidance or a willingness to work towards this.
Excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft applications: Word & Excel.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Experience of working with young people with learning disabilities in a supportive role.
Willingness and ability to travel between campuses at East Riding and York.
