Full job description

About the Role

We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Central Service Warranty team in South Molton. This position is initially being offered as temporary cover, with the potential for the successful candidate to move into a fixed-term or permanent position.

Working within our small and friendly Warranty team, you will play an important role in supporting the efficient processing of manufacturer warranty claims. The role will involve ensuring claims are submitted accurately and within manufacturer deadlines, helping us maintain high levels of customer service and maximise profitability.

We are looking for an organised, reliable and detail-focused individual who can provide valuable support to the team and potentially develop into a longer-term opportunity within the business.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Preparing and processing warranty claims for various manufacturers accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with manufacturer warranty terms and conditions and avoiding penalties.
Liaising with Service Managers and Technicians to obtain the correct and accurate information required for warranty claims.
Obtaining and preparing failed parts for return to manufacturers when requested.
Ensuring Warranty Work in Progress is kept in line with company targets and that claims do not fall into time penalty.
Working with Management to complete timely internal audits as required.
Providing general administrative support to the Warranty team as required.

Skills Required

You will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Very strong IT skills, with the ability to process a high volume of claims efficiently.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
A positive "Can-Do" attitude, with the ability to remain calm and organised under pressure.
The ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and manufacturers.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively to strict deadlines.
Previous Warranty Administrator or Claims Handler experience is preferred; however, a trainee opportunity could be offered to the right candidate who can demonstrate strong administrative skills, attention to detail and an enthusiastic approach to work.

Hours and Place of Work

Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
South Molton, EX36 3LZ
