Event Planner
Location: Royal Armouries Museum - Leeds (on-site)
Salary: Competitive + Performance Bonus
Contract: Full Time, 40 hours, Permanent

At Royal Armouries Conference & Events, we host an exciting portfolio of conferences, exhibitions, banquets and corporate events within one of the UK's most distinctive venues. Working with a diverse range of clients, our team delivers exceptional experiences from initial enquiry through to event delivery, ensuring every event exceeds expectations.

What You’ll Do:

Plan large-scale B2B and B2C conferences, exhibitions, banquets and expos.
Develop detailed event plans, floorplans, schedules and operational timelines to ensure seamless event delivery.
Conduct venue showrounds and planning meetings with clients, establishing final event requirements while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance their event experience and maximise revenue.
Prepare accurate Banqueting Event Orders (BEOs) and attend operational meetings to ensure all event details are communicated effectively to the Operations team.
Work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure successful event delivery.
Monitor event budgets, review event performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Opportunity to attend venue showcase events and FAM Trips
Proactively follow up previous clients, lost enquiries and lapsed accounts to generate new business opportunities.

Who You Are:

Minimum 2 years' experience in conference, banqueting and exhibition event planning.
Proven experience managing multi-day, multi-track events with hundreds or thousands of attendees
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to prioritise multiple projects and consistently deliver to deadlines.
Demonstrable experience of achieving KPIs and contributing to business growth through proactive account management and sales activity.
Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
Comfortable using event management systems, CRM platforms and Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports.
Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable event experiences.
You’ll possess commercial awareness, constantly seeking new opportunities to generate revenue.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Experience working with Salesforce / Delphi
Familiarity with CAD software or floor planning tools
