CNC Machinists (Turning & Milling) – 2 Vacancies

A well-established precision engineering subcontractor is looking to recruit two experienced CNC Machinists due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work. These are permanent opportunities offering varied, high-precision machining in a modern, well-equipped workshop.
CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter / Operator
Working on CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating machines to manufacture complex, low-volume precision components. The role involves reading engineering drawings, selecting tooling, proving out programs, carrying out inspections, and ensuring parts are produced to tight tolerances and high quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven CNC turning experience within precision engineering or subcontract machining
- Strong programming and setting skills using Fanuc controls
- Ability to work independently from engineering drawings to finished components
- Experience machining to tight tolerances
CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator
Using CNC vertical machining centres with Hurco (WinMax) and/or Fanuc controls, you will set, operate, and edit programs to produce complex precision components in a high-mix, low-volume environment. Programming experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of tooling, datum setting, inspection, and machining best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment
- Knowledge of Hurco and/or Fanuc controls
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances
- Programming experience is advantageous
Desirable Skills
- CAD/CAM experience
- Previous subcontract machining experience
- Experience machining a range of materials
