Funeral Operative

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Funeral Operative to join our dedicated team. This is a vital role supporting families at some of the most important moments of their lives, requiring sensitivity, respect, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out the dignified transfer of the deceased from place of death to our care
Act as a pallbearer and support funeral services with professionalism and care
Assist with the preparation of coffins and chapel of rest duties
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of vehicles and premises
Provide respectful support to families and colleagues at all times

Requirements:

Full, clean driving licence (essential)
Ability to participate in an on-call rota, including evenings, weekends, and out-of-hours work
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A calm, compassionate, and respectful approach
Smart appearance and high level of professionalism
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will be dependable, discreet, and able to handle sensitive situations with empathy and care. Flexibility is essential due to the nature of the role.

Position Details:

Full-time, permanent position
On-call/out-of-hours work required
Full training will be provided
