Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Roll-on Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver goods efficiently and safely across various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of transportation. As a key member of our delivery operation, you will be responsible for handling roll-on/roll-off deliveries, collections with precision and professionalism, contributing to the smooth flow of our supply chain. Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) with roll-on/roll-off capabilities, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring cargo integrity.
Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and vehicle usage.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any vehicle issues promptly to maintenance teams.
Deliver goods to designated locations, providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely deliveries.
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, mileage records, and incident reports.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) license with recent driving experience in commercial transportation.
Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with roll-on/roll-off freight or flatbed loads.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
Good communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members.
Overtime available, including early mornings.
