About Status
Status is a vibrant late-night bar and entertainment venue based in Bexley, Kent. We’re looking for enthusiastic, confident and hardworking people to join our growing team.
We’re looking for experienced Cocktail Bartenders and Bar Staff who can help us deliver great drinks, great service and an atmosphere our customers want to come back to.
We are also open to speaking with an experienced Bar Manager / Senior Bartender who has the right experience, personality and leadership skills to take on additional responsibility within the business.
Cocktail Bartender
As a Cocktail Bartender at Status, you will be responsible for preparing and serving cocktails and drinks to a consistently high standard while providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing cocktails accurately and efficiently according to our recipes and standards
- Having a good knowledge of classic and modern cocktails
- Serving beers, wines, spirits, mixers and other beverages
- Providing friendly, confident and professional customer service
- Keeping the bar clean, organised and fully stocked throughout the shift
- Preparing garnishes, ice and bar stations before service
- Maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
- Working efficiently during busy periods and late-night service
- Using the till/POS system and handling payments accurately
- Following licensing requirements and Challenge 25 procedures
- Supporting the wider team when required
- Completing end-of-night cleaning and close-down duties
Bar Staff
We’re also looking for enthusiastic Bar Staff to join the Status team.
Previous experience is preferred but personality, work ethic and the right attitude are just as important. Training can be provided for the right candidates.
You will be expected to:
- Serve customers quickly and professionally
- Pour and serve drinks to company standards
- Assist bartenders during busy periods
- Keep the bar and customer areas clean and tidy
- Restock fridges, spirits, glassware and bar supplies
- Collect and wash glasses
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Provide excellent customer service
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Follow all licensing, health & safety and venue procedures
Potential Bar Manager / Senior Bartender
For the right person, there may also be an opportunity to take on a Bar Manager or Senior Bar role.
We’re interested in speaking to experienced hospitality professionals who can demonstrate strong leadership and have the ability to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the bar.
Responsibilities could include:
- Leading and motivating the bar team
- Managing service during busy nights
- Maintaining drink quality and service standards
- Training and developing new staff
- Managing stock levels and reducing wastage
- Helping with rotas and staff organisation
- Ensuring opening and closing procedures are completed correctly
- Maintaining cleanliness and licensing standards
- Supporting management with the smooth running of the venue
- Helping create new drinks, promotions and ideas for the bar
The Manager position will be offered to the right candidate based on experience, leadership ability and overall suitability for the role.

For cocktail positions, previous cocktail bartending experience is preferred.
For the potential management position, previous supervisory or management experience within a bar, nightclub, restaurant or hospitality environment is strongly preferred.
