Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fettler/Polisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for refining metal components through precise grinding, polishing, and finishing techniques to ensure high-quality products that meet strict standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of durable, polished parts used across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in fabrication and mechanical processes within a dynamic environment focused on craftsmanship and excellence.

Responsibilities

Use hand tools, power tools, and grinding equipment to smooth and polish metal surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.
Operate fabrication machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to assist in component processing and automation tasks.
Follow detailed work instructions and engineering drawings created with SolidWorks or similar CAD software to accurately shape and finish parts.
Perform welding and assembly tasks as needed to prepare components for final finishing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including tooling and equipment, to promote safety and efficiency.
Conduct basic math calculations to measure dimensions, tolerances, and material quantities accurately.
Collaborate with warehouse staff for proper handling, storage, and transportation of finished parts.

Experience

Prior experience in fabrication, grinding, polishing, or metal finishing is highly preferred.
Familiarity with welding techniques and mechanical knowledge related to metalworking processes.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and tooling used in finishing operations.
Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks is a plus.
Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software for interpreting technical drawings.
Warehouse experience or familiarity with assembly processes enhances your suitability for this role.
Strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to follow precise instructions are essential for success.
