Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This pivotal role combines culinary expertise with strong management skills to ensure the delivery of exceptional food quality, safety, and service. As a Kitchen Manager, you will inspire your team, uphold high standards of food production and safety, and create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Your leadership will drive efficiency, innovation, and consistency in all kitchen activities, making a positive impact on the overall dining experience.

This is day work only, but weekend working is essential to the role.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently delivered.
Manage kitchen staff by training, scheduling, and motivating team members to achieve operational excellence.
Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimize kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff that reflect current trends while maintaining quality standards.
Ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver seamless service.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and foster a positive team culture focused on growth and accountability.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Demonstrated management and supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for maintaining hygiene and sanitation.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively.
Familiarity with restaurant operations, kitchen workflows, and culinary techniques.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management is required.
