We are seeking a Client Success Manager to generate and secure specifications for Dura Composites’ non-combustible decking, balustrading and associated solutions across the UK, with a focus on London and the South East. You will build relationships with architects, consultants, developers and design teams, influencing product selection at the design stage and converting specifications into sales.
The role involves identifying project opportunities, delivering CPDs and technical presentations, providing product advice, managing specifications through to completion, attending site visits and developing strategic customer relationships. You will also use Glenigan and CRM systems to generate leads, protect specifications and maximise commercial opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have specification sales experience within construction products, strong knowledge of the design and construction process, and experience working with architects and consultants. Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and relevant regulations, excellent communication skills and a proactive, commercially driven approach are essential.
Success Manager will be responsible for generating and securing specifications for Dura Composites' non-combustible decking, balustrading and associated solutions within the high-rise residential and commercial sectors. Working closely with architects, landscape architects, fire consultants, façade consultants, designers, developers and key stakeholders, the role will focus on influencing product selection at the design stage and converting specifications into secured project sales.
Covering the UK, with a primary focus on London and the South East, the role will proactively identify project opportunities, deliver CPDs, build relationships with key specifiers and position Dura as the preferred supplier for compliant, sustainable and innovative balcony and terrace solutions.
Success will be measured through specification wins, project conversions, sales growth, and the development of strategic relationships across the construction design community. The role will proactively identify specification opportunities across Dura's wider product portfolio, driving cross-sector collaboration and maximising commercial opportunities for the business.
Responsibilities of the role include:
· Deliver technical CPD presentations and company introductions to architects, consultants, developers and design teams to secure project specifications.
· Maintain effective communication with contractors, fabricators and supply chain partners to ensure specification retention and project conversion.
· Identify projects at concept, planning and design stages and influence product selection before tender.
· Track specifications through the project lifecycle to maximise specification retention and project conversion.
· Engage with developers and principal contractors to protect specifications during value engineering exercises.
· Build relationships with fire consultants and building safety professionals involved in remediation and new-build projects.
· Promote Dura's sustainability, fire compliance and circular economy credentials to support design and ESG objectives.
· Proactively establish and nurture connections with potential clients, actively seeking out new projects to create and expand sales opportunities. Use the Glenigan system and other resources to research, interrogate and qualify leads, taking advantage of every chance to turn a lead into an order.
· Participate in on-site visits with customers or specifiers, providing valuable insights and expert assistance tailored to their needs.
· Offer specialised technical advice on the application of our products, ensuring clients make informed decisions.
· Demonstrate efficiency in managing leads, opportunities, and sales orders through our CRM system, streamlining processes for enhanced productivity.
· Skilfully identify and leverage cross-selling and up-selling possibilities to elevate overall sales performance.
· Cultivate a positive and harmonious work environment by fostering strong relationships with teammates and promoting collaboration and mutual support.
· Deliver quotes and sample requests promptly and accurately, reflecting our dedication to excellent customer service.
· Exercise meticulous oversight in the processing of sales orders, guaranteeing precision and alignment with customer expectations.
· Develop an extensive understanding of national competitors, market trends, and buyer behaviours to help and support informed strategic decision-making.
· Act as a distinguished representative of Dura Composites at various shows and events, contributing to the positive perception of our brand.
· Engage in a culture of constructive feedback, actively participating in initiatives that drive continuous improvement within the department, fostering a dynamic and evolving work environment.
· Attend site meetings, visits, and surveys when required.
· Generate customer/contractor training days at the Dura Training Centre with the ability in time to host them.
· Attending expos and supplier engagement events.
· Develop strategic customers and manage them effectively through documented customer account plans.
· Have the ability to read design drawings.
· Learn and keep up to date on relevant regulations/standards.
· Develop and maintain relationships with key specification bodies, industry associations and approved vendor platforms.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
· Proven track record in specification sales within construction products, façade systems, cladding, balcony systems, fire-rated products, landscaping products or related sectors.
· Experience working with architects, design consultants and specification writers.
· Understanding of RIBA stages and the construction design process.
· Knowledge of Building Safety Act requirements, Approved Documents and post-Grenfell regulatory changes.
· Experience delivering CPDs and technical product presentations.
· Ability to interpret architectural drawings and construction details
· Good understanding of the Building Safety Act, EWS1 requirements, the Golden Thread, Approved Documents and post-Grenfell building safety legislation.
· Exceptional ability to foster strong and genuine long-term client relationships.
· In-depth knowledge of decking, landscape, or related building products.
· Possesses an entrepreneurial flair.
· Demonstrates the capability to work independently.
· Exhibits excellent judgment, organisational skills, and decision-making prowess.
· Proficient in active listening and interpersonal communication.
· Maintains a clear understanding of company and departmental responsibilities.
· Salesforce CRM / Rootstock experience is desirable.
· Experience working on the Glenigan system is desirable.
What’s on offer?
Basic Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 (depending on experience) per annum based on 37.5 hours per week
NPGSBS: Potential to earn 20% of Basic salary as part of the company Net Profit Gain Share Bonus System (NPGSBS)
Total Package: £66,000 to £78,000
Holidays: 33 days per year including 8 Bank Holidays – (5 days to be taken at Christmas).
Loyalty Holiday accrued from Year 2, with 1 additional day awarded in Yr2, Yr4, Yr6, Yr8, Yr10 – up to a max of 5 additional long service holiday days). Option to purchase 5 additional days per year.
Company Car: You will have the option to either receive a company car or opt for an allowance.
Opting In: If you choose to opt into the company car scheme, your car budget will vary based on the type of vehicle selected.
For a Non-Electric/Hybrid vehicle (based on 6/23 10k miles), your budget will be £225 per month, with the option to personally contribute an additional £70.
For an Electric/Hybrid vehicle, the budget increases to £313 per month, with an option to add £120.
While you will have input on the car choice, the final decision will be made by a director.
This benefit is taxable, with the amount determined by the list price, CO2 emissions, and your tax bracket. If you opt for the company car, the company will cover maintenance, road tax, and insurance, though fuel costs will not be included.
Opting Out:
Alternatively, you can opt out of the company car scheme and receive an additional monthly allowance before income tax. For a Non-Electric/Hybrid vehicle, the allowance would be £449 per month, and for an Electric/Hybrid vehicle, it would be £561 per month.
