Job Overview
We are seeking a CNC machine Programmer/Operator with a good mechanical background and least 3 years experience to join our multi-skilled team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality custom ball screw components used across industry - aerospace, oil & gas, medical, defence, automotive. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various steel grades. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, be familiar with planning and executing their own work on individual projects and within a collaborative team environment and be proficient in programming and running CNC machines.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimise CNC programmes for milling, machining centres and other CNC equipment
Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring precision and quality of finished products
Conduct regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Utilise hand tools and materials handling techniques to assist in the production process
Perform quality checks on completed components using basic math skills for measurements
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations

Skills

Experience with CNC controls (FANUC / SIEMENS)
Experience using and understanding G-code
Familiarity with milling machine operation and tooling requirements
Excellent mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools
Ability to perform assembly tasks with attention to detail
Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
